CHAPTER HUNDRED AND EIGHT REPERCUSSIONS
JADE’S POV
Telling her off would still seem rude, no matter how polite I was trying to be. I didn't want to come off as too strong or disrespectful either, so I let her take me into a shielded room, but I knew I made the wrong choice when I heard the click of the door. She seemed to have done this a thousand times with the way she was just tossing me around, and saying anything she wouldn't take kindly to wasn't a good idea now, even though I knew that.
She was coming on too strong, so I had to say something to calm her down. It wasn't about her looks or how divine she appeared; I just didn't have any interest in the things she wanted, which finally made me speak up. I thought she would be understanding and just open the door so I could leave, but sadly, she was not, so I had to stay there and explain why I simply didn't want her or whatever this was. She seemed intrigued when she should have been furious; I would prefer it if she was, but again, nothing was going my way.
