Taria's smile faded. Even an idiot could tell that Kennedy was not in a good mood.
“I asked Carter,” Taria admitted.
Kennedy frowned. He would take it up with Carter later. Though Carter couldn't be blamed since he knew of Kennedy's promise to help Taria in her career, he didn't want Taria barging in on him every time just like she did now.
Taria bit her lips. She could see Kennedy was not in a good mood, but she was determined to drag him along to the dinner party. She could already imagine her prestige when it is finally confirmed that she really was in a relationship with Mr McKenzie.
It didn't matter if it was only a fling, or if everyone knew Mr McKenzie was a playboy that would soon leave her. Just a period of time was enough for her to do a lot of things with the prestige.
