Chapter 37 - When a Witch is Bored
As the night became colder, the wood witch awoke in her dingy cottage, the fire in the hearth creating spooky shadows on the walls.
The witch was left on her own when her mistress left to take care of other matters. Outside, the howling wind through the trees served as a reminder of how remote her tiny house was, tucked up in the middle of the woods.
With her mind racing with mischievous ideas, she sat in the quiet and drummed her fingers on the weathered wooden table.
She was bored. The night went on and on, and as she stared into the flaming fire, a dark idea started to take shape. She remembered a young prince named Ramin, who was tall, attractive, and full of energy, and a slow, evil smile appeared on her lips.
She had felt the increasing attraction between them both times they had met in these same woods.
