The next morning turned out to be a whole lot different than I expected. Anya and I went for a run, and when we came back and had our baths in a river that wasn't far away, I brought up the idea of leaving this place. The more we stayed, the more eerie and uncanny it felt. I didn't want to make it look like I was scared; I just didn't feel safe being here.
"I was just going to talk about it." She said, smiling. I flashed back a smile.
"Oh, really?"
"Yeah."
"But we are going to have to convince Declan. I can see he's still nursing his wounds, and it would take some doing to convince him to do this. He's worried about you, Claire. I can see it in his eyes, but he doesn't seem to care any longer since you made it clear that you want to stay back and fight. He just doesn't want to see you hurt, and that's why he's doing everything he can to dissuade you from doing this with us." She smiled. I nodded.
"Yeah. I don't think he's scared. But we'll have to talk him into it. I
