CHAPTER 65 THE ATTACK OF THE OUTLANDERS

I jumped up from my seat, my heart racing. "What was that?" I asked, my voice shaking.
Declan stood up quickly, his eyes scanning the room. "Stay here," he said firmly. "I'll go check it out."
I nodded, my mind racing with thoughts of what could be happening outside. I heard Declan's footsteps as he made his way to the front door. I couldn't help but feel a sense of fear and uncertainty.
A few moments later, I heard Declan's voice, loud and clear. "Claire, come here! You need to see this!
I walked cautiously towards the front door, my heart pounding in my chest. When I stepped outside, I saw a group of men standing near Declan's car. They were armed and looked dangerous.
"What's going on?" I asked, my voice barely sounded like a whisper.
"I'm not sure," Declan replied, his eyes narrowed. "But I think they're here for you."
I felt a chill run down my spine. "Me? Why me?"
