I have to brace myself.
I decided to follow Willow to get the flower delivery, just to get my mind off all this. We loaded ourselves into Willow's car and drove out of the house.
“Didn’t you notice how she was staring at us?” I questioned, as I couldn't get Faye’s look out of my mind.
“Like we were some beggars who had come to prey on her fiance!” I slammed no one in particular.
“Why are you so worked up for nothing?” Willow, her eyes fixed on the road, asked me behind the steering wheel.
“I just feel irritated and annoyed by her uncalled-for attitude! Doesn't courtesy demand that you be nice to anyone you come across for the first time?” I asked, looking at Willow.
“Not everyone does that, Auntie Claire!” Irene quietly interjected.
“Of course, like Faye!” I almost yelled back.
