CHAPTER 11 THE LAMINATE CARD

My honey-brown onto eyes regarded the man before me in riddles, searching for clues as to why he was there. Why was he stalking me?
His eyes were passively on my face, and his hands were slightly folded on the bistro table. His tiger-skin shirt was unbuttoned to his chest, and my eyes wandered to the amulet on his chest.
"Why are you stalking me?" I asked quietly, but my gaze demanded an answer.
He didn't say a word to me; he stretched out a card to me and was gone the second I took the car from his hand.
I searched around to see his blond head disappear into the exhilarating crowd.
"I've never seen her this happy!"
Willow's voice brought my attention back to the table. It took me another minute to realize she meant Irene, who was in a tattoo booth getting the stickers on her arms and face.
