Chapter 17

I walked into the kitchen with Nathan and we’d had a couple of drinks together and I could feel that it was having an effect on me. Nathan seemed fine. But I’m guessing he drank a lot more than I did. I didn’t mind though. It was good to try and forget my problems for one night and to try and have some fun. I didn’t know where Tristan had disappeared to. He and Leia were probably somewhere making up. And I had to be honest, I didn’t mind spending time with Nathan. I know that he was more flirty than Tristan, but he was also more laid back. He wasn’t as serious. I was actually enjoying myself and he seemed to like having my attention as well. At least, that’s what I thought. I went to get myself another drink and when I turned back, I realized that Nathan was gone.
