Chapter 20 Apology
Most of the time, Fox was an easygoing person.
However, if someone provoked him, he could become fiercely aggressive. His time in prison had ingrained this trait in him. In prison, showing fear meant you were finished.
Although Jenny’s accusation was not intentional, it affected him significantly, so Fox decided to act. The solutions he mentioned were "impractical" in reality. Jumping from the second floor? That would be foolish and would affect his exams. As for calling the police, they wouldn't bother with such trivial matters—they were too busy.
In the end, his threats were just to scare her.
Jenny was a high school student with limited understanding of the world. Fox dealt with her easily. The first plan displayed a sense of madness, as if he would take Jenny down with him. The second plan seemed more reasonable but would be stopped quickly.
For instance, a teacher had already arrived.
“No need to escalate to calling the police,” the teacher said with a troubled expression.
