Peterson was baffled. "Even if you grew a few centimeters, you shouldn't be able to dunk like that."
He couldn't do something like that himself!
"This is the result of training. I feel light and full of energy," Fox said thoughtfully.
"Could it be because your last name is Jordan?" Peterson furrowed his brow, thinking his good buddy might have unlocked some basketball talent.
"It's just a coincidence. Don't overthink it," Fox said, patting Peterson on the shoulder.
It was 2004, and Jordan had just retired, ending a legendary career. The hype was still quite strong. Peterson had probably grown up watching Jordan play basketball.
Afterward, Fox played a few more rounds with Peterson. Some male classmates, feeling annoyed, also came over to challenge him, turning it into an impromptu tournament.
In the last PE class of high school, Fox played basketball and defeated all the other boys in his class. He put down the basketball and sat with Peterson, both drenched in sweat.
