As I was tidying up, I asked curiously, "Did he say anything?"
Amanda shook her head, "I asked him, but he didn’t say much. He just seemed really down, sad even."
I nodded, "Alright, I got it."
After finishing up, I had the rest of the things sent to Lucy and the others, then I drove over to the University of Texas.
I sent Kevin a message, and he told me there were no classes today since it was the weekend.
That's when I realized I had lost track of time.
So I turned and headed to the apartment, where Lily opened the door for me.
She immediately hugged me, saying, "Aisha, I missed you so much! You haven’t been here in ages."
I patted Lily's head and handed her the snacks I had bought, telling her to enjoy them in her room.
