Chapter 40 Bowing and Apologizing
I gave Susan a sheepish smile and said, "I wasn’t careful and ended up getting bullied a bit."
Susan got angry again. "A bit? Look at those bruises!"
She was furious all over again and gave Casey a swift kick.
Then she turned to the people nearby and said, "Go find this brat’s parents and bring them here."
"If they can’t raise their child right and let this little demon run loose, it’s their fault."
I chuckled, "No need. I already had someone bring her parents here. They owe me an explanation today, and I won’t let this slide."
Susan looked satisfied and said, "That’s the spirit. We don’t start trouble, but we’re not afraid to deal with it. I can’t stand seeing my good friend getting bullied."
I turned to Kevin, who looked anxious, and reassured him, "Don’t worry, I’ll handle this."
Susan then turned her attention to Kevin, sizing him up with an amused expression.
She glanced at me, and I immediately knew what she meant, giving her a subtle look to keep quiet.
