"Let go!"
Alan's voice was cold and unfeeling as he swiftly brushed off Heidi's hand from his arm.
Heidi looked at Alan in disbelief, her eyes filled with sorrow. "How can you say you don't love me?"
She thrust her hand, adorned with a diamond ring, in front of Alan, accusingly. "You gave me this ring, something even your wife doesn't have. How can you say you don't love me?"
"Alan, is Aisha forcing you? Is she using her family's elders to pressure you? Is that why you won't admit you love me?"
Heidi's words made me roll my eyes so hard they nearly got stuck.
I didn't force him; she was talking nonsense.
