The soft hum of the coffee shop provided a comforting backdrop as Melisa began to open up to Sally about her marital struggles, as Melisa sat across from Sally, a mix of uncertainty and trust in her eyes. She fiddled with the edge of her sweater, trying to find the right words to articulate the depths of her pain.
Sally's soothing voice broke the crowd in the coffee shop, "Melisa, take your time. Whenever you're ready, you can share whatever you're comfortable with."
Melisa nodded, her heart beating rapidly in her chest. "It's just... it's just that my husband and I have been arguing a lot lately, and I don't know how to fix it. It feels like he doesn't love me anymore."
Sally listened attentively, her eyes unwavering as she offered her full presence to Melisa's emotions. "I can understand how distressing that must be for you," she said softly. "Could you tell me more about what's been happening between you and your husband?"
