I knew how it felt to be betrayed, so I could understand Sandy's pain very well.
I took her hand, hoping to comfort her.
Sandy looked at me and smiled helplessly. "What happened to that scumbag is in the past. I don't feel sorry for him anymore."
"Not because of him?" I was a little confused. I thought Sandy had taken her life because of the devastation of being trapped in the prey camp as a result of trusting her untrustworthy boyfriend.
Sandy raised her head and stared at the ceiling. Her voice was so fragile, like a puff of smoke, as she said, "Emily, I'm sorry, but I don't feel like talking about it now."
