Irene sat in the far end of a café, picking on her nails as she impatiently waited for someone to arrive.
After a few minutes, she sighed loudly and shook her head, cursing at herself internally over the fact that she had actually chosen to meet a total stranger because they said they had crucial information relating to her father.
Her father, just the thought of the man she had not known for her entire thirty years of life brought a sour taste to Irene’s mouth.
But why did she care so much about him. He had disappeared even before she was born and her mother, when she had been alive, had always told her the story of how her father had abandoned them both, choosing to marry a rich heiress instead.
Irene considered him an ungrateful bastard, and still does, so why show up today? Well it was obvious, she wanted to find that rich son of a bitch and ruin his life, scatter his family like he had chosen to hers.
