Charlotte, as I had discovered, didn’t know how to say no. She was a nice girl. And unfortunately for nice girls, they often get trampled by corporate politics. I had seen it happen multiple times; in fact, I was half sure I had done it myself before. But that was beside the point. The point was, Charlotte was my responsibility. There was no way I would let her continue to get buried. The nice guy attitude I had shown her was not something I intended to carry out. I had texted her, but frankly, I had other plans. Harold was merely the beginning of it.
As I placed my phone down in my office, I looked up and found Harold sitting beside me. "Emergency meeting," I had sent him when I called him earlier.
"Yes?" the man grumbled. Yesterday, he had been here waiting for me to say something.
