“Now tell me, how did that feel?” Laura asked immediately we took a detour off the deserted highway.
She had slowed down her driving now, and the wind wasn't messing with my hair anymore. However, when I took a look at myself through the rear mirror, I regretted taking time to style my hair. A bird's nest probably looked better than it did at the moment.
“It was exhilarating.” I grinned, wading fingers through my hair and trying to smoothen it out.
“See? I told you.” She smiled proudly at me, and I couldn't help but grin back at her.
“Yes. You did.” I admitted. “It was really fun. I would like to do this again.”
“Deal. We should do this for as long as we can.” Laura nodded.
“That wasn't bad for a surprise, honestly. Thank you, Laura. You have done a lot for me today.”
“That wasn't a surprise though, but you are welcome anytime.”
“That wasn't it?” I turned to look at her and she nodded without sparing me a glance. “Then what is the surprise?”
