Chapter 11 Moving Cities.

The day was considerably long, but I had a lot of fun. After I had checked out my gift boxes and thanked Laura, I returned to my room and freshened up. That took me quite some time.
After over an hour, I emerged from the room dressed in comfortable homeware and by the time I got back, had set up the table.
First, I took a slice from the cake and ate, then we dined. Laura was a good cook. Her only flaw was she rarely cooked. It took her days to plan cooking, but whenever she cooked it was a banger.
Today being my birthday, she surprised me by cooking my favorite. Lamb chops and fried rice. It was the best I had in a while, and I almost teared up at how good it tasted.
“Muy bueno.” Very good. I murmured, my mouth filled with food.
Laura had always loved Spanish, and she took classes for them. However, since she rarely had anyone to speak with, she always tried to convince me into taking the classes too, but I never heeded.
