Joseph checked his call log but found no record of the phone call Yvonne was talking about. At the thought of this, he abruptly hung up on his sister and walked over to the guest room where Erica was. He asked icily, "Did someone call me on the phone this afternoon?" Erica blanched when she heard this, but she quickly regained composure. She shook her head and lied. "No." A humorless smirk tugged on Joseph's lips as he stared at her. "Are you sure?" She pursed her lips, nervously assessing his expression as a chill running down her spine. For a moment, Erica wondered if he had noticed anything amiss as she stammered, "Y-Yes." Joseph snorted at her outright lie. Losing his patience, he demanded coldly, "Then why would Yvonne tell me that she spoke to you on the phone this afternoon and had you pass on an important message? "I was summoned back to the Lynch residence, and you didn't tell me even though Yvonne specifically asked you to. Did you know that because of your stupid stun
