Logan met her gaze, then looked around the room. These people had known him for years, had seen him at his worst and, recently, at his best. He owed them the truth. "The parties?" He nodded. "Yes. I was young, I was reckless. I'm not proud of it, but I can't deny it." He took a deep breath. "The insider trading? Absolutely not. I made some aggressive moves on that deal, but everything was above board." The room was silent for a moment. Then, a crackle from the large screen at the end of the room. Nolan Maine's face appeared, looking tired but alert. "Son," he said, his voice gravelly. "We need to get ahead of this. A blanket denial won't work. We need to own up to what's true and forcefully refute what isn't." Logan nodded, a lump in his throat. "I know, Dad. I'm sorry. I never meant for this to come back on the company." Nolan's expression softened slightly. "We'll weather this storm, Logan. But you need to be prepared. This won't just affect the company. Have you spoken to Deonn
