As soon as she heard Rachel's voice, Macy lifted her head and rushed over to Sebastian, grabbing his arm anxiously. "Sebastian, Rox didn't really mean to upset you. She just—"
"Mrs. Grayson, Roxanne and I are already divorced." Sebastian shook off Macy's hand and looked at Roxanne coldly.
Macy's face instantly drained of color.
Rachel, however, seemed stunned at first, then gleeful. "Really? You've divorced that empty-headed girl, Roxanne?"
Sebastian's tone remained icy. "Yes, we've divorced."
He spoke while still staring at Roxanne. At that moment, she looked back at him.
Their gazes locked, and in that instant, the seven years of their relationship seemed so cheap—so insignificant—as if it had never mattered.
Rachel sneered, her voice dripping with disdain as she spoke to Macy. "Did you hear that? Roxanne and Sebastian are divorced now. Don't bother him anymore."
Macy's pupils trembled as she stared at Sebastian. "I'm sorry on behalf of Rox."
