CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND THIRTY SEVEN – A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD
Jasmine and Antonio crashed through the window in a shower of glass. They hit the ground hard, rolling to absorb the impact. Without missing a beat, they were on their feet, running full tilt towards the compound walls.
Alarms blared across the compound. Guards shouted and gave chase, but Jasmine and Antonio had the advantage of surprise and desperation on their side.
As they neared the wall, a familiar voice called out. "Over here!"
It was Luis, waving frantically from the driver's seat of a waiting car. They sprinted towards him, diving into the backseat as bullets whizzed past.
"Go, go, go!" Antonio yelled.
Luis floored it, the car's tires screeching as they sped away from the compound. Jasmine looked back to see Don Ricardo's furious face growing smaller in the distance.
