CHAPTER SIX HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE – ALMOST HIT
Jasmine's heart pounded in her chest as she rushed to Marco's side, her hands trembling as she pressed them against the wound in his chest. "Marco! Marco, stay with me!" she cried, her voice cracking with panic.
The celebratory atmosphere of moments ago had dissolved into chaos. Screams filled the air as people scrambled for cover, tables and chairs overturning in their haste.
"Someone call an ambulance!" Jasmine shouted, her eyes never leaving Marco's face. His eyelids fluttered, and a pained groan escaped his lips.
"J-Jasmine," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the commotion.
"I'm here, I'm right here," she assured him, fighting back tears. "You're going to be okay. Just hold on."
Marco's men sprang into action, their training kicking in as they secured the perimeter. Antonio, Marco's right-hand man, barked orders as he made his way to Jasmine's side.
