CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR –IDENTITY OF THE RAVEN
Gordon leaned forward, his interest piqued. "You're telling me this Raven character was behind the heist?"
"Could be," Carla said with a shrug. "The Raven's got a taste for the finer things, and your girl's work definitely qualifies."
Jasmine felt a surge of pride mixed with trepidation. To have her artwork coveted by such a notorious figure was both flattering and deeply unsettling.
"Any idea how we can find this Raven?" Gordon pressed.
Carla let out a raspy chuckle. "That's the thing, Barrett. No one knows who the Raven really is, or where to look. They're a ghost, a whisper on the wind. But if anyone can flush them out, it's you."
Gordon's jaw tightened, and he rose from his seat. "Thanks for the lead, Carla. You've been... moderately helpful, as always."
As they turned to leave, Carla called out one final piece of advice. "Be careful, Barrett. The Raven plays for keeps, and they don't take kindly to people sticking their noses where they don't belong."
With a curt nod, Gordo
