As they stood there, the weight of their discovery settling over them, Amelia felt a surge of emotion. They had done it. Together, they had uncovered the truth and protected the De Laurentis family.
The morning sun filtered through the ornate windows of the De Laurentis mansion's grand foyer, casting long shadows across the marble floor. Alessandro stood at the base of the sweeping staircase, his posture rigid, his face set in grim determination. Amelia stood a few steps behind him, her heart pounding with a mixture of anticipation and dread.
The sound of heels clicking on marble announced Cherry's arrival. She descended the stairs with her usual grace, but there was a wariness in her eyes that betrayed her composure.
"Alessandro, darling," she purred, reaching the bottom of the stairs. "To what do I owe this early morning summons?"
Alessandro's voice was cold when he spoke. "It's over, Cherry. I want you out of this house. Now."
