CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY - A FORKED PATH
As the morning wore on, other visitors came and went. A middle-aged man in a business suit, who nodded to them solemnly as he placed a single rose on a nearby grave. A young woman with vibrant blue hair, who sat cross-legged in front of a headstone, talking animatedly as if catching up with an old friend.
"It's strange," Alessandro mused, watching the other mourners. "We're all here for the same reason, yet each person's grief is so unique."
Amelia nodded. "It's like we're all members of a club we never wanted to join."
As they sat there, a young couple approached, pushing a stroller. They stopped at a small grave not far from Leo's, and Alessandro and Amelia couldn't help but overhear their conversation.
"Hi, baby girl," the woman said softly, her voice choked with emotion. "We brought your little brother to meet you."
