Maria smiled brightly as she looked at Cruz in front of her.
"Alright."
"And he’s a very independent child. I’ve never seen such an impressive young boy. A little man—I’m really happy about that."
Maria felt a bit embarrassed by Cruz’s compliments.
"Thank you for the kind words about him..."
Cruz smiled softly but continued, "He really is amazing. You’re a great mother."
Hearing this, Maria became even more bashful and let out a gentle laugh.
"Alright, why don’t you take him to get something to eat? He just came from New York, so he’s probably tired. I’ll go prepare dinner."
"Sure."
As Maria walked into the kitchen, Cruz glanced at the time on his phone and then looked over at Bianca, who was playing with Legos in the living room. He couldn’t help but smile.
This was the life he had always dreamed of.
After dinner, the three of them went for a walk to the supermarket.
Cruz pushed the shopping cart while Maria walked beside him. They looked like a perfect couple.
