Chapter 882
Melina and Meredith chatted casually as they swept away the dust in the cottage.
After finishing the corn cake, Melina began to feel a bit hungry.
At that moment, a voice as loud as thunder came from outside. "Grandma, I'm back!"
Meredith's face lit up. She dropped the cloth in her hand and ran outside. Her steps were so nimble that she hardly seemed like an old lady.
Melina, looking surprised, also walked outside because the voice was so familiar—they had only parted earlier that day.
When Melina stepped out, she saw a tall man lifting Meredith up and spinning around.
Meredith patted his shoulder and scolded, "Mason, let me down! I don't want to hurt my old bones."
Melina thought to herself how small the world was. She called out, "Mason!"
Mason put Meredith down and looked momentarily stunned. He asked, "What are you doing in my house?"
Melina found it familiar. Meredith's voice was just as loud as thunder, just like Mason's. It turned out she was his grandmother.
Meredith
