Andrew stood outside Melina's door, picked up the cutlery, and took a bite of the pasta he had cooked. The taste was indeed terrible.
He thought back to when Melina used to cook for him, crafting meals that looked, smelled, and tasted perfect. He had cruelly dismissed them, saying not even a dog would eat them, repeatedly trampling on her efforts.
Now, he was the one being humiliated for his own failures. Perhaps this was karma.
He carried the plate downstairs, sat at the dining table, and quietly ate the unappetizing pasta himself.
