"Tina, that's not how you talk to your father. Go get a set of cutlery," Fred interjected with a light scolding, trying to diffuse the situation.
Under her grandfather's stern gaze, Tina reluctantly walked to the kitchen to grab a set of cutlery and then sat down next to Tiffany.
With Lucas seated at the table, the atmosphere grew even more tense. There weren't many people to begin with, and the small gathering felt even more strained.
"If you've got something to say, spit it out. I still have work to do at the office. If there's nothing important, let's just eat," Lucas said impatiently, his tone sharp.
Hearing his impatient tone, Tiffany's already cool expression turned even colder, "So, is your work more important than your family?"
