CHAPTER 66: GROWING RESTLESS
Drakon's eyes narrowed as he gazed at the witch whose name they'd learned was Dahlia. She stood before them in the clearing of the woods, surrounded by towering trees and a heavy smell of damp earth and decaying leaves.
It wasn't unpleasant to the nose, but it wasn't enjoyable either. Shirley's hands trembled in Drakon's. Her fear was palpable. Drakon immediately mind-linked Liam to assemble a small number of his army, and when he looked around him, he could see Liam's image alongside the other six members of his army.
Drakon didn't trust this woman. She seemed very suspicious, and he never pushed her intuition away.
And it didn't help that she had a small mischievous smile plastered on her face. She moved with an unnerving grace, her bare feet seemingly gliding across the rough terrain. It unnerved Drakon greatly.
"Why choose this place? I don't trust you or your shady motives." Drakon said, breaking the silence.
