CHAPTER 36: THE VISION
Shirley walked along the hallway of the mansion. Her mind was oblivious to the possible danger Drakon could be facing. He was out on a wild chase with no definite clue about who he was going after. As she continued walking, she took her right turn, descending down the stairs leading to the open garden.
Palace guards were mounted at each pillar post; she saw them as she approached the door and down the stairs. Simultaneously, they all bowed their heads while she walked into the garden.
She loved the freshness of the garden, the bright flowers, and the evergreen plants. She walked around the garden, touching each plant with her fingertips while sniffing the flower petals.
This was the kind of life she wanted for herself, a life of peace, calm, and perfect solitude, but recently, that appeared to be a myth. There was chaos gradually springing up; it was still not clear to her yet, but she could tell that there was trouble brewing progressively up.
