"Shirley, I've lost my magic!"
When Shirley heard that coming from Dahlia, her entire body was stiff, and her heart almost stopped. She glanced up at the sky and saw the moon—which now looked so fragile and small—coated with a layer of white energy. Shirley's eyes went wide. She'd done that! She'd damaged the world!
Dark Seer crawled to his knees, chuckling. "You have fulfilled your destiny, child. I could say you were a worthy opponent."
Shirley clenched her fists and thrust her hands. She tried everything she could to invoke magic—any magic—but couldn't. There was no connection, no surge of energy in her body. Everything was still slow.
All around them, werewolves shifted back to their human forms and couldn't transform again. The Shadow wolves, condemned to forever stay in their wolf form, gave loud growls and cries before they died. They dropped wherever they were.
Shirley's hands were trembling, and she looked at them in shock. "Why did you do this?" she asked Dark Seer.
