The Dark Seer sat shrouded by darkness and the shadows of the many lives he had stolen.
He loved the dark– it gave him some sanity, unlike being exposed to light. Then he'd have to face his many demons.
The faint flickers of candlelight struggled to penetrate the suffocating darkness. The air was heavy with energy, like a palpable mist that clung to skin and soul. It would make anyone cower in fear if they weren't fortified.
He sat there amid his crested darkness, staring straight ahead at nothing in particular, deep in thought.
"Dark seer, I bring bad news," a trembling messenger ventured, his voice barely audible even with how deathly silent the room was.
The Dark seer’s gaze rose, his eyes shifting towards the trembling man. "Speak, fool," he rasped, his voice like a rusty and impatient tone.
