Chapter 53 Improper Pulling and Tugging

Gabriel smacked his lips in distaste and quickly accepted the candy Damian handed him. He swallowed it before heaving a deep sigh of relief. "My medicine? Jenna was in charge, but now, it's handled by Crystal," he replied, glancing at Crystal. Ever since Evelyn asked that question, she'd been watching Crystal out of the corner of her eye. Though Crystal tried her best to maintain composure, her knuckles had turned pale from clutching the tray. She was evidently nervous. "I prepared it myself. Mrs. Blackwell taught me each step, and I dare not make a single mistake," Crystal hurriedly explained. Gabriel shot her a look and calmly pointed out, "No one said you did it wrong. Why are you so nervous? Alright, it's getting late. You've had a long day, so go get some rest." Once Crystal left, Evelyn and Damian exited Gabriel's room. Evelyn picked up her pace and hoped to distance herself from Damian. Since Jaden and Sammi hadn't gone to bed, the last thing she wanted was for them to cat
