He had guessed that Lorraine had ill intentions when she took his pictures in the coffee shop earlier that day. He knew she would send those pictures to Karen. "Lorraine told me that she saw you and Lilyanna together. She even secretly took pictures of you two and sent them to me," Karen replied. Patrick tossed the butt of his cigarette into the ashtray and responded nonchalantly, "Lorraine took the pictures openly and honestly. She didn't take them secretly. I saw her doing it." Karen felt speechless and asked, "Didn't you stop her, Pat?" "Would you have been here if I had stopped her?" Patrick asked. Karen immediately felt better when she heard what he said. That brief response was proof that he still cared about her. He must've gone on the blind date to appease Gianna. Surely, Patrick must've done it to give her a scar
