Waking up before the crack of dawn to work on the farm and deliver produce had always been routine for farmers like Gordon and Sharon. By the afternoon, when fewer customers were at the market, farmers would usually find a shady spot on the street to nap.
It wasn't too bad in summer, but winter was harsh, especially when setting up greenhouses required significant investment. That was why vegetables were always more expensive during the colder months.
