Chapter 38 A Lie
Benedict immediately sensed the fear in Cordelia's eyes.
His jaw tightened, and his gaze grew sharper as he spoke in an icy tone, "Last night won't happen again. I have no interest in someone with your ordinary figure."
Did he lose interest after seeing her figure last night?
Cordelia's face flushed as she rushed to defend herself inwardly, holding her chest. 'It's not small at all!'
She retorted. "I have no interest in middle-aged men like you!"
Benedict's jaw remained tense, and with a cold, stern look, he lifted her like a small cat onto his shoulder and walked away.
"Don't walk so fast. You're making me feel sick." Cordelia complained.
Like a disobedient kitten, she was carried on his shoulder into a side room, where he casually placed her on a wooden chair.
From a drawer in the cabinet, he retrieved a first aid kit, found ointment, and then sat in front of Cordelia.
After inspecting the injury, Benedict confirmed the affected area and began massaging her feet.
