Chapter 26 Nicholas's Lesson
Cordelia was startled by the irate voice, and as she looked closer, she saw Nicholas charging at her like a demon. Swiftly evading, she retorted. "You're reaping what you sow. Don't blame me for it!"
"If you hadn't let that waiter in, I wouldn't have done something so embarrassing, making a fool of myself," Nicholas snapped.
"You're accomplices, so of course, you share the consequences. Otherwise, it wouldn't be fair!" Cordelia explained earnestly.
Nicholas was so furious that his eyes were about to pop out. He cornered Cordelia, and his fierce gaze fixed on her delicate figure. "Nowhere to run this time!"
Outside the private room, the expressions of a few onlookers changed instantly upon hearing the woman's scream.
"Is Cordelia in trouble? What should we do? Should we tell Amelia?" a concerned colleague asked.
"Let's not say anything and pretend we don't know."
Suddenly, a voice behind them interrupted.
"What were you saying about Cordelia just now?" Benedict asked coldly.
