Chapter 3

　　"After cheating on me. You plan to get rid of me easily by rejecting me? Guess what! You are still stuck with me because you did something wrong. Our bond is fading, but it's still here. I shouted at him, but my wolf was too weak that I couldn't shift, and my claws won't even come out. 　　In the end. I was unable to do anything for Cohen. 　　Alpha Ameo pulled me from Cohen. Am I still going to be the one who receives a punishment, even when it's clear that I am the victim here?" I asked with a shaking voice. I looked up to stop a tear from falling and yet, it ended up escaping from my eyes. 　　With his jaw clenched. Alpha Ameo charged me with a dagger look, and it felt like my heart sunk to the bottom of my stomach. 　　"Still, you shouldn't have hurt your sister, Eero. You shouldn't be attacking them the way you do. You are older than her-" 　　"You should have been the bigger person. You should have tried to understand her more?" I chuckled bitterly as I cut her off and uttered those same words that were about to come out of his lips. 　　"Will you look at that, Ameo? It's because you are being way too nice to her that she becomes like that. You are her Alpha, and yet, you let her disrespect you?" Luna Vera, my mother asked. I glanced at her and then back to my father as I was waiting for him to say anything apart from his usual words, and yet there was none. 　　"Serra knew that Cohen was my mate, and yet, she seduced him, and she fucked him! How am I supposed to be the bigger person and understand the situation, Alpha? This isn't as simple as her putting the blame on me like she usually does, or her messing with my favorite dress. She is literally ruining my life and yet, you are still taking her side!" 　　"What do you want me to do with your sister, then? Do you want me to ask one of our delta to tie her in the plaza? Whip and publicly humiliate her? Is that what you want?" 　　"Yes! That is precisely what I want you to do with her!" I shouted back at Alpha Ameo even when I knew that he was just being sarcastic with me. 　　"What? No! You can't do that to me, Daddy!" Serra snuggled closer to our mother, and Luna Vera quickly wrapped her arm around her younger daughter's delicate body. 　　"You will not order such thing, Ameo!" She then turned her head at me, "Have you gone mad, Eero? Why would you ask such harsh punishment for your sister? It's just a man. Will you really go this far, huh?" 　　"Would you react the same? Say the same thing if it were me who stole Serra's man? If I was the one who seduced her mate and fucked him, Mom? Would you defend me the way you are defending that bitch?" 　　"Eero, enough! You don't talk to your mother like that, and you have no right to talk about my daughter that way!" Alpha Ameo said with the use of his Alpha voice that is supposed to make me cower. 　　"Am I not your daughter too? Why do you love her so much while you are treating me as if I am not your flesh and bones? What else should I do for you and Mom to love me the way you love Serra? Why do you always disregard me, Alpha? Is it because I always say yes? Is it because I always give in to whatever it is that you want me to do? Mom, remember when you asked me not to attend the prom, so I wouldn't take away the spotlight from Serra? You know how badly I wanted to attend our prom night, and yet, I said yes and let her have the night. You asked me to stop doing ballet because Serra is having a hard time catching up with me, to that... I said yes too. What's next?" My eyes were filled with rage as I looked all of them and pretended that I was still thinking. 　　"Ah. I think I know now what is it that you are going to ask me to give up for that little brat. My mate. You will ask me to give up Cohen regardless if it makes my wolf suffer as you take her mate away from us because you would rather see me suffer instead of Serra being sad, right?" 　　"Eero, please. Let's end this right here. Just give him up. You can see how much they love each other. Besides, we need Cohen and his pack. Didn't you know that our pack is in great danger because of the Blood Moon Pack?" 　　I remained silent as I struggled to bear with the pain that I was feeling all at once. 　　"Cohen will marry Serra, and their union means that his pack and ours will unite." 　　"He can go ahead and marry Serra if that is what he wants, but I won't let his pack be united with ours," I said, sounding so firm with my decision. Once, I was the Alpha. I will find a way to protect my pack without that cheater's help. 　　Luna Vera chuckled. 　　"It looks like you didn't get it, so I will lay it to you using a simpler term. It's Serra who will be the heir of your father and not you, Eero. Serra will be the next Alpha of Moon River Pack."
