Chapter 101 Setting the Bait
Stacy looked at Charlotte in shock, not quite believing her promise.
Charlotte's voice was serious as she reminded indifferently, "To win back Mr. Langley's trust won't be easy. You have to be patient, Stacy."
The failure of Veronica's plan caused Stacy to be in a completely passive situation. Even if she was still displeased and skeptical about Charlotte's promise, she could only nod her head and agree, "Got it."
Charlotte turned to leave and warned at the same time, "I can understand how you're feeling, but you were wrong to take Veronica as a counselor. If you're not clear about Mr. Langley's attitude toward her, you can go directly to ask him."
She had told the truth. It was up to Stacy how to understand it.
"Don't do anything stupid again." It was sort of Charlotte's advice from the bottom of her heart.
Stacy stayed alone inside the tea room, feeling both humiliated and aggrieved. She lowered her head and followed behind Charlotte, secretly vowing to win back.
