"You weren't even looking," Paris threw his bow at the personal maid.
Maria caught it but the bulky equipment still managed to bump into her forehead. She winced slightly in pain.
Rubbing the spot with a frown, she retorted, "I saw you took the bull's eye before I looked away, Paris."
"You did not even applaud! You were daydreaming."
"There were a lot of others who did! I am sure they did a better job than me, right?" Maria grabbed the towel from the prince and passed him his bottle of water. "Would you rather have one weak applause than a stadium of cheers? I am sure you do not."
After three long gulps, the Student President closed the bottle and glared at Maria. "Are you not my personal maid?"
"You did not include cheering, Paris," Maria explained patiently.
"I am including it now," Paris thrust an angry finger at her. "You better watch me whenever I practice and you cheer for—."
Instrumental music blared into the air.
