Back at ArcState, Leonore found himself confined, closely watched by Bronwen. Enduring through the night, he awaited the next day's press conference. Leonore was brought out the next day for the conference. While the journalists might not have recognized him, Paxton certainly did. Paxton was at Lorine's home when he received photos from the conference, immediately spotting Leonore standing in a corner. "Why is Leonore at Blair Creations's conference? Shouldn't he be away now? Could it be that Leonore has been bought by Blair Creations and decided to betray me?" Paxton pondered. "Paxton, what's wrong?" Lorine emerged from the bathroom wrapped in a towel, observing Paxton's infuriated state with surprise. Paxton got off the bed. "I'll come back later." He opened the door and rushed out. Lorine smirked slightly, a hint of disdain flickering in her eyes. Paxton arrived at the conference venue, purchasing a mask and then, feeling it was insufficiently secure, bought a hat as well.
