Stacey responded with an icy smile, "What do you think, Mr. Burton?"
Conor replied indifferently, "Why are you asking me? I'm just the investor. Aren't actors supposed to be professionals these days?"
Jeannie blushed and awkwardly looked at Conor.
Yareli knew Jeannie would likely get the role, but she desired it, too.
After watching Jeannie's performance, she felt capable, too. She was just a bit nervous earlier, which hindered her performance.
If she could outshine Jeannie, she would gladly seize it.
"That's some serious brown-nosing," Yareli said bluntly.
Jeannie glared at her fiercely, reminding everyone of the script's sister character.
"Who's going to act in this play? Aurelia calls the shots," Conor said bluntly. "Anyone dares defy her. They can walk out on their own."
Everyone was taken aback.
Conor, is he standing up for her?
Minnie looked at Stacey with an amused expression.
Her conviction grew more vital that there was something between them.
