VALERIA. “Eden!” I keep calling out, running around the tables to follow Eden as she marches into the bathroom. “Eden, come back!” She doesn’t say anything. She just kicks the door open and gets in. She slams the door on my face, and it clicks closed before I can even plant my foot in the way and keep it open. I know it’s not locked and I can get in if I want to, but at the same time, I don’t want to impose myself on her like that when she is having such a hard time. “Eden?” I just say in what I hope is a soothing tone. “Eden, let me in so we can talk.” Silence.
