STEFANO “Maybe we shouldn’t have left them,” I whisper as Auric and I follow the initial path that we took earlier. “I don’t feel comfortable with all of this.” “No one feels comfortable with any of this,” he corrects me, waving the flashlight around. “But we would have been caught if we exchanged pairs or stuck together. I mean, we don’t even know where we are. This whole thing is a mistake from the very beginning.” I suppose he was right. I agree with him to some degree, but I have to admit that I was also curious about the tunnels that the girls managed to find. I’ve been raised in this Society.
