Dedari inhaled deeply as he took in the rich, vibrant blood from the second human he had fed on, a young man in his late twenties. It was satisfying. He gently laid the man beside his female companion. Both of them were hikers, their blood rich with vitality, full of life. Dedari could tell that they were good people, with pure spirits, their goodness reflected in the quality of their blood. Perhaps they were a couple, maybe even on their honeymoon, he mused, watching them peacefully succumb to the effects of his sleeping spell. They would remain unconscious for a couple of hours, just enough time to avoid any lasting harm. They would wake up with no memory of the encounter, feeling only a slight dizziness, like they had overexerted themselves on their hike. Dedari made sure the pair was safely out of reach from any dangerous predators before standing up gracefully and preparing to return to the camp. As he began to stroll away, however, a sudden realization made him stop in his trac
