Chapter Sixty Four: Losing Grip
Nora stormed into the temple.
She didn't see Yeti in there.
"That crook," she hissed through her teeth and walked out.
She slipped her feet back into her pumps and stepped down from the stairs.
She tried Yeti's cellphone as she moved toward her car.
Then, she saw her at a distance, carrying firewoods on her shoulder.
Yeti sighted Nora and pursed her mouth. She puffed air through her nose.
She covered the distance from the surrounding bushed to the temple and set the firewoods down.
She dusted her hands and turned to face Nora as she walked toward her.
"You are a fraud, Yeti," Nora accused her. "The powder you gave me was ineffective."
"Did you follow my instructions closely?" Yeti asked, not bothered by Nora's accusation.
"I did everything you asked me to," Nora retorted, flinging her arms in annoyance.
"Are you sure?"
Nora paused. She scrunched her nose, breathing heavily. Her mouth was drawn into a tight line as she watched Yeti.
