My eyes weakly awoke to the old and dusty ceilings of the cabin house. How did I get here?! Was the question that raided my mind as I sat up immediately. The bed creaked and I felt pains shoot throughout my muscles.
“You bastard!” Marianne suddenly smacked my left shoulder, causing me to turn to her only to see my mate’s eyes drowned in tears.
“Never in my life have I been terrified to the core. How could you scare me like that?! I thought I was going to lose you! If something was wrong with you why the hell did you not think for a second to tell me?! Do you hate me that much?!”
She smacked my shoulder again.
“Ow!” I grunted and she briskly inched closer to my side. Her brows furrowed deeper in worry as she held my back and scanned my body as if she were looking for a flaw.
“Do you feel pain anywhere?” She asked while she unbuttoned my shirt and toured her hand around my chest and abs. A tiny smile couldn’t help but grace my lips.
